Mortgagepedia ("we", "us", "our") is a trading name of The Trustee for Mortgagepedia Trust (ABN 57 420 895 062). Christine Junidar is an authorised credit representative of Loan Market Pty Ltd. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information responsibly.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have with respect to it. It applies to information we collect through our website, in conversation, over the phone, and through our AI chat assistant Mortie.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, such as:

  • Contact information: name, email address, phone number
  • Enquiry details: enquiry type, preferred contact time, preferred language, and the content of your message
  • Chat interactions: messages you exchange with our AI assistant Mortie

Where analytics is enabled and you have accepted non-essential cookies, we also collect:

  • Analytics data: pages visited, device type and browser, via Google Analytics (GA4)
  • Conversion data: interaction with forms and calls-to-action, via Meta Pixel (only where configured)

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your enquiry and provide credit assistance
  • Save your Mortie chat session so we can follow up on it
  • Email you about your enquiry, and send marketing updates only if you have opted in separately
  • Understand how our website is used, where you have accepted analytics cookies
  • Comply with our legal and regulatory obligations as a credit representative

Cookies and Tracking

Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel do not load until you accept cookies in the banner shown on your first visit. Declining, or not responding, keeps them off. You can change your mind at any time — see "Manage your cookie preferences" below.

  • Analytics cookies: Google Analytics (GA4) — only where the site is configured with a measurement ID, and only after you accept
  • Marketing cookies: Meta Pixel — only where the site is configured with a pixel ID, and only after you accept

Data Storage and Security

Your information is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL). Database access is controlled by row-level security policies: the public website can only submit new enquiries, and reading, changing or deleting stored records is restricted to our authenticated team access. All traffic to our website travels over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.

We keep enquiry and chat records for as long as we need them to respond to you and meet our regulatory obligations as a credit representative, and delete or de-identify them on request, subject to any legal retention requirement that applies to a specific record.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, each bound by its own privacy policy:

  • Supabase: hosts our database, where your enquiry and chat data is stored
  • OpenRouter: routes conversations with our AI assistant Mortie to the language model currently configured for the service; that model may change, and OpenRouter and the underlying model provider process the conversation text you send
  • Resend: delivers the email notification generated when you submit an enquiry
  • Google Analytics (GA4) and Meta Pixel: only where configured, and only once you accept cookies — see above

We do not share your personal or financial information with lenders unless you explicitly authorise it as part of a loan application.

Your Rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal retention requirements)
  • Opt out of marketing communications at any time
  • Ask how we handle your data
