Meet Christine

I started with numbers.I stayed for what they make possible.

Before mortgage broking, my work in research and banking taught me to look closely at the numbers, the assumptions and the trade-offs behind a decision. I became a mortgage broker in 2015 and have carried that approach into every lending scenario since.

Today I work with business owners, property investors, developers and home buyers whose finances don’t always fit neatly into a standard bank application. I’m Brisbane-based and work with clients Australia-wide.

How I got here

  1. Commerce and finance foundation

I began with a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) at the University of Queensland.

  2. Research and banking

I worked in research and banking, including as a Property Research Analyst. It taught me to look at the assumptions behind a number, not only the number.

  3. 2015 · Mortgage broker

I became a mortgage broker. Broking is where the numbers meet real decisions: what someone owns, what they owe and what they want to do next.

  4. Mortgagepedia

I founded Mortgagepedia as the home for my practice and for what I’ve learned along the way: the calculators, the plain-English explanations and the worked examples on this site.

  5. Now · Strategic property finance

Today my focus is complex property finance for business owners, investors, developers and home buyers whose lending needs more than a standard application. I also work on SMSF, commercial and asset finance where they fit the wider plan.

Why I do this

“Finance is not the end goal. Freedom is.”
Christine Junidar

A loan is a tool. What matters is what it lets you do: build a business, grow a portfolio, buy a home, or have more time and more choice. That is why I explain the structure behind a recommendation, not only the outcome. Better understanding creates better choices.

How I think

  • Clarity

You should understand why a structure is being recommended — not simply be told which lender to choose.

  • Choice

Understand the options before you choose the lender.

  • Long-term thinking

I look beyond just getting the loan approved. The right structure today can create more flexibility for the next move.

Christine’s view

Rate matters. Structure can matter more.

What I am known for

  • Experienced

    Mortgage broker since 2015.

  • Thorough

Complex income, entities and property scenarios need lender-policy knowledge, not generic rate shopping. I compare policy, structure and trade-offs, not just rate.

  • Strategic

I look at what a structure does to your flexibility and borrowing capacity next, not only whether the loan is approved.

Where that shows up

  • Complex lending

Scenarios that don’t fit neatly into a standard bank application.

    Work with Christine

  • Self-employed borrowers

Tax returns are only one part of the picture. Depending on the lender, company financials, retained profit and add-backs can all affect how borrowing capacity is assessed.

    Self-employed & business owners

  • Trusts and companies

Borrowing through a trust or a company brings its own lender-policy questions.

    Self-employed & business owners

  • Investment and development finance

Portfolio structure, site purchases and development finance, with the next move in view.
